- Total employment in New Jersey surpassed 4.0 million as employers added 4,300 new jobs during the month of April 2015.
- Approximately 46,400 jobs have been created in the state over the course of the past year, with the biggest gains coming from the construction, education/health services and trade, transportation & utilities sectors.
- Despite adding 2,100 jobs during April, professional/business services continued to trail other sectors. Year-over-year, 7,000 jobs have been shed by this business segment, which has historically driven demand for office space.
